So.. What do you do with some old socks, an unwanted curtain, a jumper you shrank in the wash and a couple of hours. Well you make a draft excluder, new cushion cover and 2 pairs of wrist warmers of course. Oh and throw in the make up bags that you've had cut out for a while !! Feeling quite pleased with my afternoon.😊

From Tweed pieces too small to make a bag ( and the need to keep a door open ! ) came the door stops.
Decorative as well as useful and filled with 1kg of rice.
The different combination of colours make each unique.

To make my necklaces the Semi- precious beads are chosen totally at random, each piece designed around my current stock. This is ever changing creating one off, unique pieces.
All are strung onto silver wire with silver findings and £30 each.

Everything is designed and handmade by me and my plans of what to make are formed by the materials I see in front of me. I’ve come to realise that is not unlike my job as a dance teacher faced with students waiting to learn their choreography. I response to the creative elements as they are given to me at that moment in time. I love the fact that the same set of materials (or students ! ) on another day might produce something entirely different.
