I’m quite envious of the freedom birds have at the moment. Although, as I’m scared of heights I would be a hopeless bird 😂 I think a birds eye view is not quite as it seems which is why the map is upside down 😉. It’s fun experimenting with different ideas.

I did a fabulous workshop with Emily Notman. I love her work and she really inspired both me and and my 13 year old daughter. We completed her challenge of making a textured landscape vessel wrap. Lots of hand stitching and adding texture. It felt good to finally be creative again!

Something different but still with a bird theme of course! I took part in an online workshop to make a stitchers sketchbook. It was run by a lovely artist called Ali Ferguson. It was fun to do something different and it’s been nice to do hand sewing for a change. I’m very rusty so only basic stitches for me!

I love this photograph Jenna took in our garden. This little fella is sat proud puffing it’s feathers out. We are really enjoying sitting still and listening to the beautiful birdsong in our garden. There are some good things about lockdown, although some days you have to look really hard !!
