Happy 13th birthday to the first person in the world to truly steal my heart… my not-so-small teenager Mia Springthorpe-hall.

I honestly couldn’t be more proud of the young lady you’re blossoming into.

You are intelligent, kind, caring and, well… absolutely stunning. But what really stands out is your incredible sense of humour. You have me and Ben in stitches from the second you open your eyes to the second you close them. You were absolutely born to be on stage!

Never, ever change, my girl. You are absolutely perfect exactly the way you are, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart… although your potty mouth could definitely do with a little improvement! 🤣

I’ve only cried three times today, but just know it’s only because I’m literally bursting with pride and feel so incredibly lucky that I get to be your mum🥹.

VERRUCA NEEDLING

If you've been battling a stubborn verruca for months—or even years—there's another treatment option that many people don't realise is available.
Verruca needling is a specialist podiatry procedure that isn't widely offered, as only a limited number of podiatrists are trained to carry it out.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a bit of an evidence-based science nerd, so before offering this treatment I wanted to be absolutely confident it was backed by high-quality clinical research. In fact, I dedicated part of my university dissertation to researching verruca treatments, so this is an area I'm genuinely passionate about.

Unlike treatments that simply aim to destroy the verruca, needling works by stimulating 'your body's own immune system' to recognise and fight the virus responsible. This makes it an excellent option for many stubborn, persistent verrucas that haven't responded to other treatments.

The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, making it a comfortable treatment, and I'll always carry out a full assessment beforehand to make sure it's the right option for you.

If over-the-counter treatments, acids or freezing haven't worked, it may be time to consider a different approach.
