I have for many years been proud to support Coventry Haven Women's Aid

Some fantastic news that they will have this amazing exposure and hopefully encourage more help/donations as well as having their services shared for those that may need some help, guidance and support.

We’re SO excited to share that will be the support band for Sheeran at the Arena, and even better…

✨ they’ll be wearing Coventry Haven Women’s Aid merch on stage! ✨

If you’re going to the show, keep your eyes peeled for our T-shirt and hoodie proudly worn by the band.

What an incredible opportunity to raise awareness for the women and children we support, right here in our city, in front of thousands of people!

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Coventry Haven Women’s Aid has been awarded funding from the Women and Girls Fund, delivered by the of England Community Foundation .

This grant will help us support more women and girls across Coventry who are subjected to, or at risk of, Domestic Abuse, offering safety planning, emotional support, wellbeing activities and early-intervention sessions to help rebuild confidence and independence.

A huge thank you to the for recognising the importance of specialist, women-led support 💜

As Tina Costello OBE, CEO of the Foundation, said:

“The Women and Girls Fund is about backing the brilliant local organisations that are already creating change for women and girls in their communities. We’re proud to support projects that offer safety, confidence and opportunity for women across our region.”

Mission accomplished!!

To say I am not only proud of myself as the farthest I’ve ever ran is 14k 7 years ago. The ladies also achieved an incredible result.

Julie and Sophie started couch 2 5k last August. Maria only a couple of months ago. Today they ran 21k - Half Marathon

So proud to be a part of Team Sweet Success. Look out for our future adventures and if you want to join the team, just push your comfort zone, believe in yourself and join our amazingly supportive team.

On Saturday 9th August, myself and Team Sweet Success will be running the Great British Bake Run in Staines. Our goal is a half marathon distance.

We recently lost Julie’s dad to this tragic condition. Julie and Maria both work for the Dementia and Older Adults team in Warwickshire.
