Our gorgeous Goose Mobile got a lot of love on stories yesterday, so I thought these silly little guys deserved their own little space on the grid 🤍

Lovingly handmade by a wonderful group of women in Nepal, each one of our mobiles is made with beautiful attention to detail using high-quality New Zealand wool.

Not only are they the dreamiest finishing touch for a nursery, but each piece also supports women’s work, independence and traditional craft in Nepal, dreamy little nursery pieces with a really lovely story behind it 🪿🤍

A cheeky little window refresh was very much needed… so we went for a little bit of summer, a little bit of Pride, and a whole lot of “let’s get outside and make something fun” vibes 🌈☀️

Our new DIY Patch Bar arrivals have landed, including caps, hats, sunny accessories, beachy bits and all the colourful little extras your small people will absolutely make their whole personality for the week!

Pop by, have a nose, and let them design something that feels completely theirs, chaotic creativity very much encouraged, obviously ✨

And just like that, our little Goodsheds era is coming to a close 🥹✨

What was always meant to be a temporary chapter somehow became one of our most memorable ones. A year of new ideas, new stock, craft events, brilliant customers and the genuine privilege of trading alongside some of the hardest-working independent businesses we’ve ever met. We wouldn’t swap it.

Our final day at Goodsheds will be this Sunday, 24th May! which still feels slightly surreal to type, but June is about to get a little chaotic in the best way possible, holidays, events, and behind-the-scenes things we can’t wait to tell you about, so this week really is our chance for a proper, heartfelt goodbye to our little rainbow carriage. If you’ve been meaning to pop in, this is the moment 🤍

Running a small business is never a straight line, and this year has taught us so much about balance, growth and knowing where your heart is needed most.
Ours? It’s in Cowbridge. It’s always been in Cowbridge. And we are so ready to pour ourselves back into our little shop there ♥️

But first, thank you.

To the Goodsheds traders, the team, the food vendors who genuinely kept us sane, and every single customer who ever wandered into our carriage of dreams: you made this year something really special!

Please keep supporting the Urban High Street, There are so many genuinely brilliant people there, showing up every day and pouring everything into what they do. They deserve all the love!! 👏🏼

As for us, this is absolutely not a goodbye. It’s a “see you in Cowbridge” 🌼

And there is plenty to look forward to. New opening hours, seasonal events, fresh ideas, and yes, we’re already talking about Christmas. We know, we know 😂🎄

We’re also so thrilled to share that our wonderful Grace, your favourite Sunday girl, is officially joining the Bee & Bloom team properly. We honestly couldn’t be more excited to have her with us ♥️

Here’s to closing one beautiful chapter and throwing the doors wide open on the next.

This week has just felt really lovely 🥹☀️

The shop’s been full of that nice kind of busy… new deliveries turning up, fresh stock finding its way onto shelves, the sunshine pouring through the windows, and lots of lovely faces through the door too!

We’ve helped with birthday bits, gifts for new babies, little milestone moments, bits for growing bumps, and all those thoughtful purchases that people might not even realise mean so much to a little shop like ours, but they really, really do ♥️

I know I say it a lot, but thank you. Thank you for choosing us when you’re buying for the special things. Thank you for popping in for a browse, for coming back, for recommending us, for keeping us busy, and for letting Bee & Bloom be a tiny part of so many lovely moments in your lives!

So yes… just a very wholesome little thank you from me really 🤍

A peek behind the scenes at this week’s little wins, losses, wobbles and “oh my goodness where are we putting all this stock” moments as a small independent shop owner ✨

This week we had our biggest restock since Christmas arrive, which is so, so exciting… but also gives me that funny little nervous feeling in my tummy because behind every large order is basically me panicking that I may have bought the wrong things or that you won't love it as much as we do?! But the shelves are looking full and beautiful, we'd love for you to come and see what's new 🩷

Our Goodsheds carriage had to close this week. Not because of anything dramatic, just because it’s been a really full-on week in Cowbridge, Holly is away on a very well-deserved sunny girls’ break, and with a tiny team behind the scenes there are only so many places you can physically be at once. It’s never a nice feeling having to close a door, even temporarily but we'll be back to normal in no time!

There have been lots of lovely wins this week, Sunshine and spring vibes, happy little shoppers, fresh stock finding its way onto the shelves, and lots of little hands testing for our DIY patch bar ahead of our first market of the year this weekend at Bont Faen Primary! If you haven't got plans for Sunday yet I really do think you should see what all the wonderful students and teachers have been preparing this week, there's live music, shopping, food & crafts for the whole family, we can't wait to join in! 😍

As always, we’re winging it with love. We’re learning as we go. Thank you, as always, for being here for the pretty bits, the messy bits and everything in-between!

New display toy unlocked ✨🏡

We’ve just unboxed and built the beautiful Rose Heart Dollhouse by Le Toy Van and it’s now out on the shop floor ready for little hands to put it to the test!

One thing about us? We like our toys to earn their place. We want children to be able to play with them, explore them, love them and properly get a feel for them before they head home.

Because honestly, if they love it in the shop, there’s a very good chance they’re going to love it at home too 💗

That’s also exactly why I’m so picky about what we bring into Bee & Bloom. I look for toys that are lovely to look at, yes, but also toys that feel special, play beautifully and can handle being properly played with.

And Le Toy Van? A very lovely addition indeed.
