I have had some feedback from family and a couple of great mates. These are the initial 3 designs for what will eventually become a new tartan. I am working with Marton Mills to create this. Let me know your preference

🎉Announcement 🎉

We are working with a mill to design a new tartan. The brief given was as follows -

Dark Grey: Representing the iconic grey horses of the Royal Scots Greys.
Dark Blue: From to historical heavy cavalry tunic and dragoon dress colours.
Black: Symbolising the black backing worn behind the cap badge in mourning to the death of Tsar Nicolas the second who was colonel in chief
Red: From the scarlet tunics.
Yellow: To represent the 2 yellow stripes down the cavalry overalls and vandyke on forage caps and pipers feather bonnets
White: Remembering the white feather plume attached bearskins and worn by the Pipes and Drums.

I am now looking at the first 3 CADs supplied by the mill, I will share these shortly.
