My bridal lehenga of my dreams. This one is sentimental for me. I started sketching my lehenga back in 2019 because we were due to get married 2020 but COVID happened. I worked on every element from sketching out the embroidery to the exact threadwork, beading, pearls & swarovski crystals I wanted & where.
The main element was that I wanted my lehenga to bridge the gap between Inter-Faith relationships. Being Catholic & my husband a Sikh, I was rejected at some gudwaras.
When we did find one, I knew I wanted to respect our religions. The red colour & silhouette represents the traditional side & having my vows written around my whole lehenga represented me & my faith. Can you see it?
