Hannah 🤍

Working on this wedding was a special one for me, as Hannah is a friend as well as a bride.

I had the pleasure of altering her beautiful gown, taking it in, shortening it and securing the off shoulder sleeves so everything sat perfectly for her big day.

I was also lucky enough to alter Matt’s trousers and the gorgeous bridesmaids’ dresses too.

There is something really lovely about being trusted with not just the bride’s outfit, but so many parts of the wedding party.

Thank you Hannah and Matt for letting me play a small part in such a special day.

I’m now fully booked for alterations throughout May and into part of June!

I’m still happy to take on fitting appointments and secure bookings, but any alteration work booked from now will be scheduled from around 15th June onwards.

A business update 🤍

I’m really excited to share that BH Bespoke is now officially part of the supplier hub for WED2B!

It means brides who find their dream dress at WED2B Exeter can now find me for alterations to make sure their gown fits perfectly for their big day.

I’m really grateful for every bride who trusts me with their dress and every opportunity that helps grow BH Bespoke.

This beautiful Grecian style gown needed a few alterations to make it fit perfectly for her day.

I took in and reconstructed the bodice to fit her shape beautifully, lifted the shoulders and added a hidden loop bustle to bring up all the layers of the skirt when needed.

Such a stunning dress and you looked incredible.

Taking a short break over the bank holiday weekend.

It’s been a very busy few weeks, so I just wanted to say a genuine thank you for all the bookings, messages and continued support.

✨ Fit for a princess ✨

This beautiful gown needed a little attention to achieve the perfect fit. I took in 3 inches to allow the corset to work properly and adjusted the bust to remove any gaping.

These alterations allowed the bodice to sit perfectly on her waist rather than her hips, completely transforming the shape and feel of the dress.

Now this gown is off to Disneyland Paris! 🏰 I can’t wait to see the photos.

Jumpsuit Transformation 💕

I completely dismantled this jumpsuit, shortened the bodice, took extra length from the back, then carefully sewed it all back together using the same thread so everything stayed seamless and true to the design.
I also added discreet belt loops to define the waist, and finished it off with a hem.

Was such a fun process making it fit just right.

This dress originally had a zip, but we swapped it for a corset back so it’s more comfortable and flexible, especially for a cruise “dress to impress” evening.

It gives a much better fit, a bit of breathing room and means the dress moves with you rather than fighting you (always a win).

Alterations like this are one of my favourites ✂️
