With a brand new, bespoke studio in the scenic Kyte Hotel, Darrington we are all about taking a little time out to relax and do something creative while learning new skills. A little about me: I have a BA Hons in Fashion Design and industry background in design, development and garment technology working for some of the largest retailers on the high street. I’ve not only worked closely with factories all over the world to develop high quality garments but also done my time on the production line too. I certainly know my way around a sewing machine and am passionate about sewing and craft.

Things have changed a bit here at Sew Happier, the lure of the fashion industry and a regular wage was just too great and once again I was sucked back into a full time job. For the last 6months Ben Sherman have been the reciprocates of my skills and unfortunately despite missing my lovely sewing classes and workshop desperately, it’s apparent I just don’t have time to fit it all in 😟
As a last hurrah, and in the hope that I’ll be able to do keep up my own sewing obsession I did do my daughters school fayre last weekend. There were a few bits left over which I’ll post on here if anyone would like to buy them let me know!

This weekend the Popstir and I took a little time out to indulge in one of our other creative joys - the joy of cake! We both entered Darrington’s Feast and Fayre cake contest and would you believe it we cleaned up! Lily won best looking for her owl cup cakes and my lemon and blueberry naked cake won best tasting 😋 shameless boost post but who doesn’t like cake 🍰
