Sadly it was a very quiet day for all makers and traders at New Longton Village Hall yesterday. After a year of doing the makers markets and artisan stalls I've learnt that you can never guess how each event is going to be. On a positive note the Japanese print diamond bag that I created only days before was bought by a lovely lady, after the Japanese appliqué purse was snapped up the day before, so only one purse remains in this set. My next stall will be at the festival of making on 4th July at Blackburn Cathedral.

Thank you to everyone who visited my stall today whether it was just to chat or buy something from me. My new trial design of an applique purse with Japanese print was sold before I could even introduce it on my page. Thank you to the lady who saw it and loved it, I think I need to make more 🤔 Also thank you to the lady who absolutely adored the blue and rose gold flap bag, and bought it. I went through weeks of stress searching for the buttons to perfectly match this bag design until I was happy with it 😅 Also thank you to my final customer for buying the final William Morris Strawberry Thief glasses case. It was a quieter day due to the weather but it was a great first experience at Haslingden Market and I will be back again soon.

One last make for this weekend's markets. Repurposed blue velvet with a vintage liberty front panel, edged with blue velvet ribbon and gold metal handles. Inside is a repurposed red poly satin lining with a gold magnetic fastening.

Apologies for being a bit quiet this week, my other job as a college lecturer has had to have priority due to finalising end of year grades and also students trips. I've got so many bags and purses prepped but I've just not had the time to construct them all, but I'm back on it now and have created this new Japanese print collection using repurposed fabrics. I will have lots of my unique bags and purse designs available at my stalls at Haslingden market with VSMS Markets & Events on Saturday and Longton Village Hall with Flock2 Artisan Crafts & Farmers Market on Sunday. Do come along if you're in the area.
