Unstructured but never uncomfortable.

I’ve seen a real rise in the amount of orders for less structure and more comfort recently. And I agree. When I’m dressing things down a little, taking some of the structure out of the coat can really emphasise the relaxed comfortable look.

By structure I am referring to the internal components through the front of the coat that gives it shape and strength. Also the structure of the shoulders and removing any padding, to keep a natural shoulder line.

Italian tailors have perfected this look over centuries and now it’s becoming a go to style in the UK for that effortless tailored look. Want to know more, come have a chat and let me show you more in person and in detail.

Now for something a little different.

Where to begin on this ensemble. A deep purple coat and waistcoat combo worn with a lavender trouser. Very bold and utterly stunning. Then add a clash of Liberty print lining in a teal and stand back and enjoy.

We used the reverse side of the fabric to enhance the texture and to subtly work against the plain weave of the trouser cloth. The colours really work well to create a harmonious but slightly different look. Are you sartorially playful enough to try something like this?

Nearly the time of year to bring out the “poolside suit”.

This wool seersucker cloth by is one of my all time favourites. Textured with some stretch, it really is the most comfortable suit I have ever made. The colour stands out and, yes I know trainers and suits aren’t for everyone’s taste, but I think it looks proper naughty 👌
