Happy Happy Happy new year to you all!
We are already in day 8... yeesh...
Doesn't time fly?*!

I hope you all had a very peaceful and utterly delightful Winter festive Christmas, light and magic, presents and Hannukah, moonbeams, Solstice -

I was poorly over Christmas, caught the adult version of Scarlet Fever from my grandson... oh my, so we had a quiet Christmas time at home, then I got a UTI (felt crappy awful horrid, antibiotics - two lots sorted it), and then a trapped nerve (oh my - so painful... sciatica) cancelled two events and felt very sorry for myself. But did lots of reading and knitting and chatting to the little ones on Skype -

I love designing; I love the process of the hand to brain and back again connections - the lovely softness in my hands, interesting motifs and melding of fabric textures. Exciting. But we are still in TKH-event-mode for a while so welcoming the most amazing women to our little paradise.

I sometimes miss the shows when I used to hug and drape and sing fabulous jazz songs with you! HA!

Hello good evening delicious hive mind… of TKH wonder…

I have a cancellation: single room, PSSO, largest sea view with own bathroom – for a 2 day workshop Day 1: hand dye your own yarn with the guidance of the awesome Sue Bamford, Day 2: knit something glorious (socks/shawl) with support and help from the super Anniken Allis.

March 7th to 10th/11th ’24 (if you want to stay Sunday night for more hilarity).

There is delicious food and wine and chocs and bics, and home made lunch and fish and chips by candle-lights and lots of yarn to dye and a gift bag and Pimms and Prosecco and tea and homemade fudge and 2 workshops with two different tutors - and lots of late nights chats about life and holidays, family and war, love and laughter and movies and shows and knitting techniques and designers and tip sharing and support. Oh and me and Brenda (yarn winder and tea maker extraordinaire). And a Sunday walk along the sea-wall and looking out of your bedroom to see the sun-rise over the swishy sea. + The option of going to The Ivy in Exeter for dinner. Lots.

Haven't posted here for a while - so the folk that do not follow The Knitting Hotel - here are some images of the wonderful Christmas time at TKH - ... we have two Festive Frolics events in December and then we batten down the hatches until mid Jan... My home will become full of toys and little people and family and joy.

If you would like to book to come and stay at TKH please have a look at our site and contact us - about £600 + vat - from Thursday until Sunday - lots of food and yarn, gift bags, workshop time, with skilled and engaging tutors (some one day and some two days) chat and cake ... it is fun.
