It’s May, bamboos ☁️

Is it just us or does changing seasons sometimes bring on uncomfortable feels? Time is moving forward, memories being made and bamboos growing too quickly. The middle bamboo has his impending 11+ exam later this year and it’s been in the forefront of my priorities (and constantly in my mind). I wish time would sometimes simply slow down, freeze frame our motion picture life. Anyone else have these feels?

hello September ☁️

It’s our favourite month - new colour pending, photo shoots and planning our exclusive line for spring 2024. We know it seems like we are progressing slowly, but for us, it’s the right pace - always mindful of what the world actually needs. Keeping it minimalist…and always organically consistent.

Halle pictured here has loved our organic pieces since she was born and now she’s pictured in our muslin blouse - it’s endearing to see the original bamboos growing up with us. Her gorgeous mummy and I have never met, but have kept in touch for nearly 3 years now. Chloe, we need a latte date soon ☁️.

Seasons change ☁️

Do you feel that crispness in the morning air? The bamboos are on a camping holiday and how timely with the twinges of change in the season. Campfires and marshmallows accompanied by lighthearted grandparent childhood stories have been their favourite part of the week. Children really thrive in natural environments - whereas I’ve been holed up in Bb HQ testing the new colour launch. I truly hope you love it. It’s been months in the making and I believe the perfect warm neutral to be added in our organic capsule collection.

Moreso, how gorgeous does this little bamboo look in his cosy zip sleepsuit and Bb signature hat? His beautiful mummy sent some images over the weekend and I’ve been swooning over them trying to pick my favourite…and I still can’t. ☁️

baby skin ☁️

Our entire brand philosophy is centered around your bamboo - from comfort, minimalist style to preserving precious baby skin. Our little bamboos at birth all had eczema and it was forever difficult to find not only ethical organic pieces, but ones that were made in minimal design and lasted more than a few washes. This baby brand was born from the desire to provide parents with those timeless, sustainable staple wardrobe choices - something we wish we had access to when ours were tiny.

Our british seaside collection has been entirely designed around the seaside lifestyle the bamboos had growing up. Relaxed, sophisticated and uncomplicated pieces made in certified organic muslin. Perfectly constructed for a day out in Deal, frequented by Londoners, where Elizabeth is pictured here in her bloomers.

Be yourself, there’s no one better ~

It’s been a while. We have to be honest and say we have been hibernating a bit through the winter. The last 2 years have been exhausting for us all, lives halted by Covid and surrounding factors. Through some slow time off, and much reflection, we are still here ready for further creating this year but staying true to ourselves in the process. We are a minimalist brand and sometimes after riding the waves, we need a moment to get back to our foundation, look back at our roots. We hope you are enjoying our journey, looking ahead for more from Bb in 2023.

new beginnings for 2023

This has been quite a year. Lots of highs and a few low lows. However, our journey in our second year has given us so many lessons, to carry with in our future. We wanted to thank each one of you in being part of that, wherever you reside and for however long you have been following us. Each message, each order, every mention doesn’t go unnoticed and is so massively appreciated. We can only thank each of you for giving us the privilege in living our organic baby brand dream. W i n t e r y ☁️

We have always built our capsule collection on seasonal transition pieces. In this way, the piece outlasts the season purchased, able to be layered or worn on its own to match the nuances of the season. This is the foundation of slow fashion - or limiting production, which we hope in turn will change human behaviour so we can preserve this precious world for our little bamboos.

h a l f t e r m ✈️

Happy half term everyone. We hope you’re having some beautiful slow days with your bamboos either on the beach (as pictured by the lovely Millie ), in the misty English countryside or in your cosy home.

When I moved to the UK 10 years ago a half term was completely new to me. In the US we have school term for 9 months straight but having my own children experience a week’s break to rest their brains and bodies, slow it down, has been monumental for their mental and emotional health.

We hope you’re slowing down too, off of the social grid maybe, basking in those pivotal memories. 🤍

What is better than a content baby, perfectly positioned for a little snooze?

So many factors affect a little one’s sleep - temperature, light, etc but did you know our organic zip sleepsuits help regulate ambient body temperature and are so effortlessly soft due to the natural, finest certified organic cotton, nothing is better for baby skin…and the 2 way zips are a lifesaver through those long nights.

We had an amazing experience with our tiniest model, Digby. Only 2 feeds, a few outfit changes, a coffee break for mum, and captured the in between moments beautifully.
