Preparation is key…..

Each cotbed size quilt takes 120 x 4.5inch squares of fabric- or the equivalent when I am incorporating different shapes and sizes of motif from the fabric. One 0-3 month baby vest contributes 2 squares and bigger clothes add more so lots of tiny clothes get converted for each quilt..

Once they are cut out each square needs backing with fusible interfacing so they don’t change shape when sewing together.

I love every step and how it all comes together to preserve beautiful memories 🥰

Birthday dress winging its way to my niece very soon!

Alongside the orders from you lovely lot I see lots of clothes for my children and my nieces and nephew! Family gatherings usually end up with a list of requests for my to do list!

I haven’t shared the whole dress here but a squishmallow twirly dress was on the list for this birthday 😀

A lovely order of 3 bears made from a dressing gown and hoodie for the contrast went out to their owners last week! Loved this one and personalised using iron on vinyl and my cricut rather than embroidering or using the ink stamp 🥰

Part of my role within my job as a paediatric consultant is looking after the brave children in North Wales who are unlucky enough to develop cancer, who have to undergo harsh chemo therapy and lose their hair as well as spending long days and weeks in hospital.

In just under 3 weeks, on the 19th December, I will be chopping this long hair of mine off and donating 12 inches of it to . A wonderful charity that primarily makes wigs for children who are suffering from hair loss but also contributes to childhood cancer research.

One wig costs £700 to make so as well as donating my actual hair I’d love to raise some money towards the cost of making it into a wig for one courageous child!

Instead of sending me a Christmas card this year please consider donating, even just a small amount!

A lovely way to keep memories fresh. Whether you turn your child’s baby clothes into a cot size quilt, lost loved ones clothes into a lap sized quilt for the cooler months snuggled on the sofa or festival t shirts into a bigger bed size quilt there is something for everyone.

Have an idea but don’t have the fabric?.. I’m still happy to chat and work out a pattern and product for you- baby sized to double bed size 😄. Cost of fabric that I buy/supply will be factored in.
