Certified Organic Cotton t-shirt, 155g/m2. Wash cool, hang dry. GM free. Not tested on animals. Does not contain animal-derived products. Printed in the UK with low waste printing tech. Made in a renewable energy powered factory audited for a wide range of social and sustainability criteria.
The Organic cotton is plucked in Ahmedebad, North-Western India - and transported to a local ginning factory. The ginned cotton is taken by truck then cut and sewn in Coimbatore in the South, where power from a factory-owned wind farm cuts emissions. Interestingly the blades were made down the road from on the Isle of Wight, at Vestas. As well as visiting factories personally, the Global Organic Textiles Standard and SA8000 audit ensures fair pay and working conditions overseas in this supply chain. Items are transported by sea from Tuticorin and then trucked to our factory on the Isle of Wight, and printed using our new low-waste printing technology. Our Isle of Wight factory is powered by renewable energy including our on-site solar array. The finished product is shipped to and dispatched from Rapanui Factory, Freshwater.
