Back to school! 🏫

Whilst my littlest are still happy for me to make them backpacks, I will still happily make them for them. I’m absolutely in love with how these two have turned out 😍😍

I mentioned a while back about how I was going to be introducing toddler backpacks, but I didn’t feel like the quality was quite good enough. I’m currently revisiting the idea after having done these two, so they could be available by the new year 😁

Time for an update! ⏰

Four years ago when I first opened Three Seas, I created a quick logo effectively using some clip art and text. Whilst this has lasted me well since then, I figured it was time for a change - something a bit more personalised.

So here’s the new logo! Hand designed and drawn by myself, (not forgetting some vital input from certain others!) I hope you like it as much as I do 😃 Items on order already may come with the old logo whilst I still have supplies, but this is what will be on everything going forwards ☺️

This is what’s left after cutting a mere 3 items from a 2m length of fabric 😮

The pile on the right is scraps, the pile on the left is leftover, and the bottom (obviously) is the cut out pieces. I try to cut the pieces as economically as possible, but due to the shape of some pattern pieces it’s not always possible.

Don’t worry though, all of my scraps get saved, so I can stuff them into little ‘pillows’ as my 2 year old likes to call them 😁 I think I’ll have to make a lot of them to fit all my scraps in though 🤣

What better way to start Easter Sunday, than with an unexpected fabric delivery? 🐣

I’ll be using some of the left one to make a raincoat for my youngest, and then will be using the rest for a few small size premade coats.

If the wearer is happy, then mission accomplished? 😂

Had a bit of a hard time with completing a coat - my first attempt is still half done - but I couldn’t let this lovely raincoat fabric continue collecting dust in my fabric pile!

There’s still a handful of mistakes on this one, but it’s still a fully functional coat, it’s one step closer to being able to make one without any issues, and as you can see - he loves it! So like I say, mission accomplished 👍🏻

This dress was a test for me for sure, having never done many things that this pattern required, but I’m pretty stoked with how it’s turned out! It’s 100% cotton. And is nice and lightweight. My 3 year old wanted to keep it 😂

I will be selling it for a very reduced price at some point soon - it’s an age 3, but has no labels currently.

Introducing… Mittens! 🧤

With the weather still being very chilly, gloves are probably a staple for most right now. Don’t like gloves though, or find them tricky to get on kids? How about mittens!

I’ve got a couple of testers going out in the next few days, as well as these which are for myself and my 3 year old. My first impression is that they’re very cosy, but we shall see how warm they keep me later on. I will also be choosing a couple of designs to be chosen from once the testing is over 😊

Side note: I have always had sensory issues with wearing any gloves, so my pair may end up being sold on as a tester also - watch this space 🤣
