Made by hand in our home town of Derby, UK, using authentic work-wear, military, utility and left over “new” dead stock materials. We only rework small batches to a very high standard that are individually numbered and dated. Each piece is unique with it’s own history and story to tell.

It started with what was left behind.

Some pieces simply take longer. That’s the nature of doing things well.

Sustainability & Circularity lie at the heart of Reworked 348. With this piece, we’ve taken it a step further.

Using the leftover offcuts from our unissued 1990s Tank Crew Coverall Liners, we’ve taken what most would consider waste and found purpose for it.

There is value and beauty in what’s left behind, you just have to see it.

After creating a unique pattern in our design studio, each individual off cut is carefully cut and stitched together to create a lightweight thermal lining for this vest.

No two linings are the same. Each is a unique collage of hidden colour, design and history, making every vest its own.

Made one by one in our home town of Derby, UK, in a small limited batch and constructed on vintage industrial machines.

The outer vest is made from a lightweight, dry wax 100% cotton ripstop archived cloth in a muted deep khaki. Woven in the North of England by a mill that began weaving in the 1800s, the dry wax finish gives the cloth a weather-resistant quality.

Two classic lower liner pockets are joined by inner and outer chest pockets with profile stitching, finished with a British made quality full length two-way zip; practical, functional and ideal for styling and layering.

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is automated. Every detail is carefully considered.

A beautiful 100% wool cloth from the archive of a heritage mill in Yorkshire, Great Britain, a historical mill that first started weaving back in the 1800s.

This piece has the feel of your favourite cardigan.

Mid weight with a subtle tone on tone check. Warm enough for colder days, yet versatile enough to wear throughout most of the the year, as a standalone piece or layered when the temperature drops.

Each piece is individually cut and sewn in our home town of Derby, UK.

Constructed on vintage industrial machines using traditional methods, inner seams are taped and bound to give the piece a quality finish inside and out.

Two classic lower lined pockets, each with a single pocket insert. An outer chest pocket and handy inner chest pocket with profile stitching add further functionality.

Keyhole buttonholes are individually cut, one by one, on our 1940s Reece 101. Finished with British made sustainable Corozo buttons.

Every detail is considered. Nothing is automated, nothing is rushed.

As is our way, a short production run with limited availability.

Quite a big day for us today.

This morning, we received the keys to our very first store.

A new home for Reworked 348, on Iron Gate in our home town of Derby.

A place where everything comes together.

The industrial vintage machines humming away in the background.

The heritage cloths we work with to create our collection.

The team working to create the next piece.

And, of course, the clothes themselves.
For us, it’s always about the love for the product. How it’s made, the existing materials we discover and the people who make them.

Now, for the first time, we have a home where we can bring all of that together and share the whole story.

Being able to show people first hand what we do, and why we do it, is something we’re really looking forward to.

There’s quite a bit to do before we open the doors, but we’re hoping to be up and running in 3 or 4 weeks.

Our Mills Compact Cotton Overshirts have now landed at R348 HQ.

Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered. Your piece was shipped today.

This piece is a bit special.

The mid-weight, 100% compact cotton cloth was discovered in the archives of a North of England textile mill with a heritage stretching back to the 1800s.

Each shirt is cut and sewn in our home town of Derby, using traditional French seams and bound facings.

Constructed one by one using traditional methods on vintage industrial machines.

Keyhole buttonholes are cut one by one on our 1940s Reece 101 machine, then finished with the last of our beautiful English horn buttons made in the 1980s.

The quality and make are first class.

But what really sets this Overshirt apart is what happens next.

We work with one of the UK’s leading innovative laundries. There aren’t many like them, and we think this one is the best.

Working closely with their R&D team, we developed a special wash recipe unique to Reworked 348.

The result is an Overshirt with a softened, peachy handle that maintains the cloth’s compact feel, giving it a very slightly worn-in authentic look that would otherwise take many wears to achieve.

As an added bonus, the wash process ensures the Overshirt won’t shrink any further when washed at home.

As is our way, we’ve only been able to make a small number of pieces from this cloth, so if you’ve been thinking about getting your hands on one, now might be the time.

The Daily Store Bag is our take on a practical everyday bag.

Nothing overcomplicated, just good, honest materials, considered details and traditional British manufacturing, built around something you’ll reach for time and time again.

A beautiful archived wool cloth, yarn dyed and woven in Yorkshire, Great Britain, by a mill that has been weaving heritage wool cloth since the 1800s.
A subtle combination of blue and blue-black wool yarns, or brown and black wool yarns, creates this premium cloth, giving it depth without being too pronounced.

The vest works equally well as a standalone piece over a shirt or layered underneath a jacket. It can be dressed up or down and works well with most colours, including blues, greys, browns, khakis, beige, black and denim.

A BIG thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered the Mills Compact Cotton Overshirt.

This beautiful heritage cloth comes from a mill in the North of England that started weaving back in the 1880s.

The overshirts have been cut and sewn by our friend Paul, here in our home town of Derby. Paul has spent over 40 years working in his small, family-run garment-making business.

We’re now cutting the keyhole buttonholes one by one on our 1940s Reece 101. A temperamental machine at times, but one that makes the most beautiful buttonholes.

Next stop, the laundry, where our own unique washing recipe softens the cloth, gives it that nicely broken in feel and helps prevent shrinkage during home washing.

Then we’ll check every shirt before adding the genuine English horn buttons, made back in the 1980s. We haven’t got too many of these left, and we won’t see them again.

Finally, off to the pressers and one last quality check.

We’ll be shipping the shirts next week, if you’ve had your eye on one, now could be the time..

We start with cloth that already exists, work with old school makers who take pride in their work.

All made in Great Britain, something we’re quietly quite proud of.
