❤️ A sad update ❤️

I discovered yesterday that the lovely lady who asked me to create all these beautiful memory animals, cushions, and draft excluders had sadly passed away after a short illness.

She had a good heart, a kind word and a cheeky laugh and she will be deeply missed by her family and everyone who knew her.

💖

I can only hope that the happy memories that she's created in everyone's hearts help them through this sad time.

🌟 Top Tip Tuesday 🌟

I know this isn't your first rodeo, but here's the best way to wash your LJS tubie accessories to keep them in tip-top condition:

💧Pop them in a mesh bag to avoid damage

Your tubie accessories can be easily damaged when washing in the washing machine, so placing them in a mesh bag will help protect them.

💧You can machine wash them up to 60 degrees

If you want to save money and the environment, you can wash your accessories at a lower temperature of 30 or 40 degrees. It all depends on your needs.

💧One thing to remember: Do not add fabric softener!

Adding fabric softener can reduce the absorbency of the bamboo fleece/waterproof backing. This means they won't be as absorbent, so it's best to avoid using softener.

📮 My Last Post Office Run of 2025! 📮

And that’s a wrap! I’ve just dropped off the final Christmas orders of the year, and I can’t thank you all enough for keeping my little business so wonderfully busy.

I’ve now extended dispatch times on my Etsy shop — so anything ordered between now and my January reopening will be posted once I’m back in the sewing saddle. 🧵✨

Here at LJS, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword — it’s stitched right into everything I make. When I first started out, I tried using coloured press studs… and wow, did I learn fast! 😅 So many colours didn’t quite match the fabrics, which meant unused studs, extra cost, and unnecessary waste.

So I switched to clear studs, and honestly? Total game-changer! I can use the same studs across all 25+ fabric choices, which means less waste, more consistency, and happier, matchy-matchy accessories for you! ✨
