Introducing 'Conscious Fashion Design Through Digital Innovation', a collaborative competition with Wi******er School of Art exploring how digital tools like CLO3D can support the way fashion is designed today.

The competition gave final year Fashion Design students an opportunity to experiment, test ideas, and solve design challenges digitally, helping them refine concepts and make more informed decisions.

It also encouraged students to explore more conscious ways of working by reducing waste, minimising unnecessary physical sampling, and building confidence using digital tools within both their final collection and future careers.

Still relying on physical samples to assess fit and construction?

Technical designers are often caught between creative intent and production reality, managing fit, materials and communication under pressure.

CLO3D for Technical Designers and Garment Technologists starts this Thursday 23rd April.

You will learn how to:
– Assess fit, balance, and construction in 3D
– Apply materials and understand their impact on drape
– Identify issues early and reduce unnecessary sampling
– Communicate technical decisions clearly with visual outputs

Delivered in small, live sessions with real-time feedback and recorded content for flexibility.

By the end, you’ll be able to confidently assess virtual samples and support product development more efficiently.

We want learning to feel as accessible as possible.

That’s why we offer Klarna and Clearpay as payment options. Being able to spread the cost can make a real difference when deciding to invest in learning.

Our goal is to remove barriers and support people in building confidence and developing skills at the right time for them.

One of the most important things we can give students is space to explore ideas without pressure, especially at the early stages of fashion design and development.

Next week at , as part of Creative Futures 26, we’re collaborating with to deliver a hands on workshop introducing students to Gravity Sketch.

This session is about more than learning a new tool. It focuses on how VR can support fashion design and development by encouraging spatial thinking, early exploration of form and proportion, and clearer communication of ideas before committing to physical outcomes.

Creative Futures creates valuable space for students to step outside their usual coursework, hear from industry and alumni, and explore new ways of working in a supportive environment. It's a pleasure to be part of it this year.

Tuition continues to be one of the most popular parts of what we do.

With so many niche roles, mixed abilities and different software needs in the fashion and textile industry, one-to-one education offers a supportive way to learn, improve skills and build confidence at the right pace.

While we are not currently running group courses in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, learning in these areas is supported through one-to-one education. See what learners have shared about confidence and tailored learning.
