Today commemorates the anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa, who dedicated her life to overcoming poverty and distress. Designated by the UN in 2012, this day encourages volunteering and philanthropic activities to alleviate humanitarian crises and suffering worldwide.

Repair & Share Foyle have another Craft Swap coming up Friday 18th Sept @ 5pm-8pm. You can donate any artsy items you have gathering dust, or come along and pick up some bits and bobs for your next crafty project. It's perfect for schools or community groups doing any creative activities in the lead up to Halloween.

⭐Get ready! We've landed on a date for our 3rd Craft Swap as part of our mission to tackle waste and in partnership with the team at Artitude Project !

👉The main aim here is to keep materials in circulation, so if you have started a project and didn't finish it or you are planning to get creative ahead of autumn and winter, or maybe you're already mapping out your Halloween costume, this event is for you!

🤩There is MORE than enough to go around and you don't actually need to swap to benefit because our community has already donated so many fabulous fabrics, crafting tools, craft paper, materials and more!

💚Take what you need donate what you can. Our free event will save you from buying new, so you can also stock up on some supplies for your next project.

Swing by, fill a bag and share your crafty plans with the community.

🖤 LITTLE BLACK DRESS DAY 🖤
Little Black Dress Day is a day for women to wear their favourite little black dress (LBD) while focusing on heart health and stroke awareness, particularly for women of colour. Founded by the Black Heart Association in 2020, it promotes cardiovascular health and celebrates the iconic fashion piece.

🧵 SEW COOL 🧵
It's enrolment day tomorrow and there are a couple spaces left in one of our most popular classes. AFTER SCHOOL SEWING is a ten-week class on Tuesdays from 4pm-6pm, starting Tuesday 22nd Sept. Learners can find their creative spark, build skills in hand and machine sewing, and create bags, clothes, or toys inspired by their imagination or the latest trends.

We're so excited to get back to a new term of sewing classes here at The Fashion and Textile Design Centre - FTDC. Starting off is SEWING BASICS on Tuesdays & Thursdays. This 8 week class works as both an introduction to sewing for total newbies, or a refresher for those who haven't been sewing in a while.
