It's been a while, but I'm back on here with you lovely people as I have a few things from my late mother's collection to sell.

I'm selling this wonderful and very rare 19th Century Roman Peasant costume, it was from my late mother's collection.
What is so wonderful is it has every item listed by the original owners hand which is still complete, nothing is missing even the stockings and hair pieces. Not only that there is a photograph of her wearing it! A wonderful pieces of , it would fit a size 8-10 person, I wore it once when I was young and slim!

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to put my lovely collection of vintage clothes into auction. I need the space and the money, I'm too fat to wear them, schlepping them around fairs was exhausting and trying to sell them on Ebay and Etsy was disheartening.
I tried a few local vintage dealers, none of whom seemed interested so off they go to Wessex Auctions. If they don't sell, I guess its off to charity they go.
It's the end of an era I had many, happy years of wearing them and lending them to shows.

One of the non-Sevres highlights of the Judith Howard Collection has to be the decoration on this enormous Minton ever and basin. Using the turquoise or bleu celeste ground of Sevres, but with an Aesthetic or even japonism theme, it’s a truly striking piece.
The sale is on view today from 10am.
