'Blossom' was my Auntie's cheery nickname that I inherited and I have always had a fascination for butterflies, those beautiful clever insects with the ability to morph and transform from caterpillar chrysalis. I love the ceremony of taking afternoon tea ever since being a little girl and our family congregating around

my granny Queenie's table, groaning with sandwiches, cakes and trifle on a Sunday and catching up on the weekly news and events. When I was planning my wedding I knew exactly what I wanted in the style of a quintessentially English country wedding and tea party and so my collection of beautiful vintage china and accessories was born and grew to furnish our event. I could tell a Royal Stafford from a Royal Albert at a thousand paces. It became an obsession. I was passionate about our items being used again and again and not gathering dust in storage. Friends and family asked me to organise special teas for their birthdays and to borrow bits and pieces. So, here I am now offering you, the discerning public, the opportunity to share in the joy of these items and get pleasure from their use also. If you are looking to plan a special event such as a wedding, birthday, baby shower, christening, hen do or other party, take a look at what we have for hire and invite us to make your special occasion both beautiful and memorable. You can choose to just hire any items from our extensive collection for your event or we can plan and style your event with you; just let us know your preference. We can currently cater from 1-150. With my extensive experience in event management and hospitality and trusty little black book of contacts we can also offer a full event management service with all the little personal touches. This recipe was sent in by my mum. It is impossible to eat just one of these deliciously moreish biscuits, as I can clearly remember from my childhood! If you cook these just a bit longer than stated below then you can use them as ‘dunkers’.
