E1 of The Event Hangover
It feels like the right time to start this series as we are all back from ATOMICON!
There's a few important points to remember when leaving any event
1 - It's OK to rest!
If you need to take time to decompress, process, or have a nap - then do it! Events take a lot of energy and your mind and body likely need time off after an event
2 - Stay in touch with the people you connected with
And obviously after point 1, that doesn't need to be today!
But reach out to the people you connected with and continue building that relationship ❤️
3 - What were your biggest take away points?
If you haven't written them down yet, do it soon whilst it's still fresh in your mind - you don't want to forget the things you've learned over the event - so take a note of it in what ever way works for your brain.
4 - Evaluate
• what went well
• what did you enjoy
• what can you do differently at your next event
If we evaluate the event when it's finished, it will help us with our next event!
5 - What are you going to implement?
There is no point in going to an event to do nothing with the information and ideas you got from it. Block time out in your schedule to implement.
6 - Take action - because going to the event isn't enough.
