I put the knowledge gained from my Moedie to use and made my first skirt in grade 6, (yes I still have the pattern), followed by pajamas in grade 8. I tried my hand at all sort of things, cutting a bikini top off an old one and have taught myself, by trial and error, over the years to make my own patterns. I started sewing properly when my girls were born and have made 100's of dresses for them, f
riends and strangers since then. Ballet costumes, school concert costumes, matric dance dresses, bridesmaids dresses and now I am onto my 6th wedding dress and Loving it!!!. No my girls are not there yet but some of my friends daughters are and I will one day make my daughters the dress of their dreams for that special day. Till then I will keep everyone Else's daughters happy with dream dresses. My reward is to see that little Tom boy transform into a stunning princess and their excitement becomes mine. I get gooseflesh when they put that dress on and radiate pure Joy! I LOVE WHAT I DO!
