Casting yesterday, in the national press today… and standing proud in London. 🥺✨📰
Yesterday was an absolute whirlwind with model casting! Meeting such incredible, beautiful models gave me pure goosebumps.

If anyone truly knows me, you know that knock-backs and disabilities have never stopped me. But you also know that asking for help is something I hate doing. That’s why I was completely blown away when my beautiful friend Sam stepped in to help set up the GoFundMe/Crowdfunder, and by the unbelievable love and support from my family, friends, and everyone rallying around me.

To see my story featured in The National today while here in London preparing for the runway feels completely surreal.

In a world full of judgment, stereotypes, and constant noise, I know I don’t fit into a little box. I never have. Instead of letting that hold me back, I channeled all of that energy straight into my art, my fashion, and my designs.

Never let disabilities, setbacks, or anyone else’s expectations change who you are. You don’t let them break you—you grow, you adapt, and you transform. Love everyone, and above all, be loud, be proud, and be unapologetically YOU.

A massive, heartfelt thank to my family, my friends, every single person who has donated or shared, and the gorgeous models bringing this vision to life.

This year has had its challenges, but it also transformed my outlook on life. Life is too short, and nothing defines you—you write your own path.

I’m back in the studio sewing day and night because Carina Rose Designs is heading to London Fashion Week with ! ✨

I cannot wait to share the Selkies Awakening collection with you all, featuring my custom tartan, Soarsa (Freedom & Liberation).

I was drowning in recovery until my 11-year-old daughter wrote me a lifeline.

Her poem, A Tide-Return, dug straight into my love of ancient Scottish folklore and pulled me out of the dark.

She gave me back my fight.

She reminded me that we don't break—we shed what holds us back and return to our element.

That raw survival built this brand. Every seam, every sustainable thread, and every piece in this collection carries the weight of rising from rock bottom

A little chat from the heart… 🤍
A lot of you have been asking what actually happened with my surgery and why recovery has taken so long.
The short version? The internal wires from my reconstructive ear were eroding (I was born with microtia). I went in for surgery, hit complications, and am now navigating life with FND. Throw in being deaf in one ear and living with ADHD, and life definitely keeps things interesting!
It hasn’t been an easy , but there is always someone worse off. I am just deeply grateful to be here, embracing every part of who I am.
My mind might be a little chaotic, but that chaos is my superpower—and it’s the exact raw energy I pour directly into my designs.
Life is a complete rollercoaster. Own your journey, embrace what makes you different, and appreciate every step of it. ✨
