Please share.

We have some packaged sandwiches that have been donated to us from Dover Christchurch Academy that we are giving away free in the shop until we close at 5pm. There are cheese and ham, just ham, egg mayonnaise, and just cheese.
We have about 30 packs.
All must go today 16th July XX

Shop.logo stickers at the ready for Cash / Voucher hunt starting on the 23rd July. Remember you need to follow Help Our Town to see a clue to where the sticker will be hidden 🔍💰
Bring the note hidden behind the sticker to collect your cash or voucher by the end of the next shop business day. XX

Will run for 6 weeks. So in total 36 days starting on the 23rd July and finishing on the 3rd of September 😊
Nothing to find on a Sunday as will need a day off with all the walking I will be doing.

Water topped up at Help Our Town, just wanted to say thank you to Gemma for the donation towards the drinks while I was waiting to pay, and also to the 2 gentlemen that helped me carry the water back to the shop when one of the crates decided to split and go everywhere. The town isn't a bad place to be when there are good people about. XX

🌟 Big shoutout to the organisations who help us reach the people that need us most!

We work alongside some fantastic local organisations who refer clients directly to Help Our Town:

✅ Dover District Council
✅ Dover Foodbank
✅️ Dover, Deal & District Citizens Advice Bureau
✅ The Forward Trust (Dover)
✅ Emmaus Dover
✅ Dover Outreach Centre

Once referred, we step in and provide the essentials — bedding, kitchenware, clothing, and more — completely supplied by us, for those who need it most.

Thank you all for the incredible work you do and for sending people our way. This is community at its best. ❤️

Good morning everyone. The warmer weather is here and the shop has been busy everyday. Stock is going fast, something we haven't really experienced like this before. We are very much in need of sunmer clothes both male and female, adult and children. If anyone has any to donate that would be wonderful. Also kitchen items, bric-a-brac etc.
It will be 9 years in September that this simple idea come to fruition. Looking back then, i could not see myself and the shop being where we are today. Helping 100s if not 1000s of people over this time, whether through the referral system we have set up, or just people we are aware of that are in need of some sort of help. We have plans for making our referral system better and to not always having to navigate your way through one of the many organisations we work with.
We will continue to try and work with all the relevant groups in Dover, but sometimes it isn't possible, through no fault of our own.
Anyway onwards and upwards. If you need help, come and see us at Help Our Town, 5 Biggin Street, Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 5pm and speak to myself or Rebekah. If we can't help we will always try and point you in the right direction.

Summers coming or going, unsure or which 🙄, but the sun is shining this afternoon at Help Our Town, you can find us at 5 Biggin Street, and the window has a beach theme summer look.
We are open 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.
