Hello everyone! It’s been super busy here at AvaBlu, thank you everyone for all your support for the reopening. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I will have to close for a few weeks. These are matters beyond my control. I have spoken to all my brides and bridal teams this will directly effect. For those of you who are still struggling to find a seamstress in your local area please check out these ladies have been a wonderful support for me and I can’t rate them enough.

June to September is a well known busy time period in the life of a bridal seamstress.... it’s commonly referred to as the height of wedding season

To give you an idea ... from June to September this year 3 ( yes, just 3) of our dressmakers are going to put 468 dresses onto their machines!

& each and every one of the dresses that we alter/make receives 110% of our expertise, our attention and our professional knowledge ....

We’re giving you this snapshot for a reason...for a few actually....
. its why many of us don’t/can’t answer messages/calls straight away....
.. it explains why we say we can’t fit you in
...it’s the reason we ask you to be ON TIME for your appointments
...it’s the reason you need to COME to your scheduled appointment
...it’s the reason many of us sleep October 😆

So, we can’t make this any more clear....
this year especially (it’s all 2020s fault!) we are super busy.... & next year is looking similar

booking in with a dressmaker - any one of our fabulous dressmakers - needs to be at the TOP of your bridal planning to do list.... that stunning gown isn’t going to fit itself!

PHEW!!! What a week it’s been!! Definitely back into the swing of things. My first bride was out today and I just want to wish her the best of luck she was absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for letting me be part of your special day and thank you for the beautiful flowers!

FINALLY! The news we’ve all been waiting for! I can’t wait to see all my old clients again and welcoming the new to

I will officially be opening my doors again for all our services from the 23rd April. To ensure covid safety is in place please ensure all drop off and pick up items are booked by an appointment and all visitors will be required to wear face masks.

To all my bridal appointments, please contact me as soon as possible to confirm your attendance to pre booked appointments. If you haven’t booked yet please feel free to drop me a message as soon as possible as I am already working on limited spaces.

Needless to say we’re all disappointed but it’s a very small price to pay to ensure the health of all our loved ones.

I’ll be going through my diary and messages for everyone booked in for Feb/March and reorganise our dates. I’m so sorry for all the brides again this is a very difficult time for businesses and individuals alike.

But what we are doing is going through our diaries to check who we need to chat to.... so please, if this extension affects your fitting dates-get in contact with your dressmaker sooner rather than later

We will do everything we can to assist but please remember we are a listed close contact service and what we would LIKE to do & what we CAN do are ... they’re 2 different things 😞

Guys! WE MADE IT!!

Well done for getting this far, that’s an accomplishment in itself. I couldn’t have summed up how I’m feeling quite like this wee comic.

I wish you all a safe and happy new year and I look forward to seeing you all soon! Remember I’m still on hand if you’re stuck at home and unsure of a sewing project! I’ve been messaging with hints, tips and tutorial throughout all the lock downs so don’t forget I’m just a wee message away.

Please make sure all you lovely 2021 brides have booked in and all the gorgeous communion girls are sorted because I will be closing the diary in the coming weeks.

Girls just because we are not permitted to complete fittings for a while, does not mean you can’t book in for your bridal alterations !

Every one of us can be contacted either via our Facebook or Instagram pages, or by phone/email or text...

Lockdown does not prevent you from being organised for your bridal alterations...

Needless to say 2020 has been a bit of a write off, we’ve all had it tough! I’m remaining optimistic for February 2021 and I look forward to seeing all my clients in the new year. I want to take the opportunity to thank all my customers and supporters this year and all the wonderful feedback I’ve received. I can’t wait to meet all my new students looking for gain a new skill and complete their sewing goals and lastly I want to wish all my supporters a happy and safe new year.

Thank you all, I hope you had a lovely Christmas and I’ll see you all on the other side!

Ok ladies this is it....

If you are a 2021 bride you NEED to be making contact with a dressmaker (and preferably booking in with one) NOW if you haven’t already !!

2020 had/has 366 days.... and we were not permitted to work almost half of them.
That meant 100s of brides rescheduled to 2021.... which in turn reduced our availability to assist ‘new’ brides and take new bookings.....

The earliest you are likely to be seen by your dressmaker is somewhere between 10/12 weeks - give or take - ahead of your wedding day....
Waiting until 10/12 weeks before you even LOOK for us and try booking in with us is only going to add to your stress levels... because a lot of us simply won’t be available to help. 😞

Come Christmas Eve that’s us closed again for a further 4/6 weeks (depending on the NI Executive review) ... so if your wedding date is anywhere in 2021 .... then you need to be talking to us NOW!!
