Well, just shy of six years, Global Collect is coming to an end.
When I started Global, it was never supposed to turn into a brand, but it did and it’s been one of the best experiences of my life.
If you’ve been following the brand since the early days, you’ll know the brand has been plagued by inconsistencies, some down to myself and others with suppliers. I’ve always tried to do it for the love of it, and not for monetary gain. When you do something and it’s not for monetary/personal gain, it’s hard to commit yourself at times.
The brand was pretty much an escape for me, I love designing, and have done since my early teens. It helped me through hard times and it’s been a constant in my adult life. I used this brand to keep me engaged and doing something I love every day when I was stuck in a whole bunch of sh*tty dead-end jobs.
Over the last two years, I’ve fallen in love with my career, being able to design all day every day is what I wanted to do from the age of 17, and now I’ve finally achieved that, there’s no escape, I have no reason to escape from the day-job.
When I opened Global I was a baby faced 18 year old, and now at 24, I have a lot more adult things to worry about like looking after myself, my other half and bills, bills and more bills.
I’ve loved every minute of running this brand, the good and the bad. I’ve managed to meet some fu***ng incredible people throughout the past 6 years, and a lot of them have become good friends. All because I put stupid designs on a t-shirt.
A special mention goes to my other half, Melissa. She kept me going with the brand over the past year, I tried to give it up just after the 5th anniversary and convinced me that I should at least give it more time. But now is a good time to throw in the towel.
Thank you for everything. Whether it was a placed order, a shared post, a comment, a like. Anything, you’ve all been fu***ng great and helped me pursue a childhood dream for six fu***ng years. A lot of fu***ng love for you all, honestly.

With that being said, I don’t want to give up designing for clothing altogether, so if any brands/creatives want to have my design assistance, please contact me -
