Courteney founded Wild Violet in 2019 at 22 and ran it successfully for four years, with over two years spent at the Launch It Dundee hub. She shares, "After leaving school at 15 due to severe panic attacks and poor mental health, I started working in fashion at 16, grew in confidence, worked my way up and treated every role like it was my own business. Eventually, I decided to start one myself."
"Wild Violet began in my childhood bedroom, where I taught myself how to run a Shopify store through YouTube and learned by doing (made plenty of mistakes along the way). During the pandemic, the brand grew quickly, and I moved into a studio at Launch It - expanding to a second space within seven months."
She adds, "Both Shopify and Launch It were key in legitimising my business and building customer trust. I’ll always be grateful for their support and will forever be proud of my time as a fashion business owner."
