I’d love to talk to women who’ve had to ‘begin again’ midway through life, particularly if you’d like to reflect on the experience of finding a new place and making it your own and how that felt. Perhaps you struggled to ‘move in’, to choose wall colours, to hang pictures and locate your own identity. Perhaps you finally revelled in being in charge of your surroundings. Perhaps it was a bit of everything. I’m (very slowly) making a picture book for adults on this subject matter and I’ve realised that I’m a very conversational artist, interested in dialogue, curious about people. Would you like to be involved? Perhaps we can make this another strand that includes the writing of physical letters. It’s a slow-burn for sure.
