WHEN A NATION WAS WOVEN INTO TEXTILE
In 1905, Abanindranath Tagore painted Bharat Mata during the Swadeshi movement.
Among the symbols she carries is cloth — simple, understated, yet deeply significant.
At a time when choosing Indian-made textiles became an act of self-reliance, cloth was more than something to wear. It represented the skill of Indian hands, the dignity of work and the strength of indigenous craft.
More than a century later, that thread continues.

What was once a symbol of Swadeshi, we hope to keep alive as a celebration of Indian handloom — across borders and generations.
