Paradaiza Just Common People Doing the Uncommon. Sustainably Made | Effortlessly Cool

Edinburgh, Scotland. Our new Stockbridge Store and Website are just the beginning.

In the wake of Xile's liquidation, our founder Paul Mullen recognized an opportunity for a fresh start and a new sanctuary. Thus, PARA-DAIZA was born with a new purpose: to create high-quality products with lasting value, blending inspiration from the past with innovative ideas. The brand name itself, PARA-DAIZA, holds profound meaning, rooted in ancient history with the Proto-Indo-Iranian term "p

aradaiza," signifying "around" (pari-) and "walls" (daiza). The mission of PARA-DAIZA is to craft exceptional products that stand the test of time. With a focus on sustainability, the collection will incorporate garments made in the UK whenever possible, showcasing a unique design style. Recognizing the textile industry's environmental impact, PARA-DAIZA has committed to addressing this issue through its Re-Purposed collection. This collection breathes new life into vintage second-hand goods, transforming them into exclusive, one-of-a-kind garments. By reducing and recycling, PARA-DAIZA aims to salvage unwanted goods from landfills and give them a new purpose, contributing to a sustainable cycle and promoting a conscious approach to fashion. The founder's latest venture, Daiza Projects, is working on a Multiband Retail concept – a retail hub that aims to redefine the shopping experience. The brand envisions a place where the community works to shop, connect, discover, and learn. This versatile space will include a retail offer and a café and design studio, serving as a collaborative haven for creatives and startups.

Davie has been here since the start.

Before PARA-DAIZA, we were both at Xile. Directors, grafters, trying to keep a great thing moving. When that chapter ended it was tough for everyone, but it was also the start of something new.

Davie came across with me and has been part of this place ever since.

Still “sales driven.” Still winding me up. Still reminding me that if I keep designing more pieces, we’re going to need a bigger shop!

The Atelier Pinch Chino fit guide. 🧵🪡

This is our cleaner, sharper take on the Pinch.

Still easy where it should be. Room through the top, a relaxed shape through the leg, then that little pinch at the ankle that makes it sit properly.

For me, that’s what makes a trouser work. It doesn’t need to shout. It just needs to hang right, feel good, and go with most things in your wardrobe.

Wear it with a plain tee and trainers, or smarten it up with a knit, jacket or overshirt. Cuff it, leave it down, dress it up, batter it about.

One of those pieces you end up wearing more than you thought you would.

Year Three.

This September marks PARADAIZA turning three.

Still here, still building, still loving it and still very grateful for everyone who’s come through the door, bought something, shared the brand, or just stopped in for a chat.

To celebrate, we’re giving away a £500 outfit and styling session with me.

Not for yourself. For someone you think deserves it.

Nominate them in the comments, tell us why, and we’ll pick one person to come in, get kitted out, and enjoy the full PARA-DAIZA treatment. Make sure you’re following the page for your entry to be counted. 👊🏻

Winner announced 26th September.

August at the shop. 😎

This month feels like it ran away with us a bit.

We’ve been tucked away working on new products, the Atelier shirt, pinch restocks, and Paradaiza's first baggy. Catching up with familiar faces, and meeting new ones.

Plenty of chat, plenty of try-ons, plenty going on behind the scenes.

September is our third birthday month, so things are only getting busier.

Bigger, better, and a few surprises to come.

Last weekend of the Fringe.

If you’ve still got a bit left in the tank, I’d do it like this.

Make your way down to Stockbridge. Pop into the shop, have a wander, get yourself fed at Stockbridge Eating House, then see where the day takes you.

There’s plenty happening all over the city if you know where to look.

I'd go to the Monkey Barrel for comedy, and finish up at for the late night. Their Spicy Margherita is outstanding.

Full local guide is still up on the journal.

Hamish & Luca.

A couple of good lads I roped into doing some modelling last week.

Both avid skaters, both based around Bruntsfield, and both just getting on with it in their own way.

Hamish is a scratch golfer starting to make his way in fashion with a big move planned. Luca, a local builder and events planner with Monster Energy.

Hard-working guys, good chat, and plenty of try-ons in the shop.

Thanks for coming in lads. More from this shoot soon. 📸

Coming soon.

A proper gentleman’s shirt, done the PARA-DAIZA way.

Soft cotton, relaxed through the block, and easy enough to wear open over a tee or buttoned up when you want it a bit sharper.

A more elevated casual piece without making it feel too serious.

Landing soon.

Summer textures. ☀️

Not everything has to be loud to stand out.

A good knit, a clean stripe, an easy trouser and a bit of weight in the fabric can do more than enough.

These are the pieces I like for this time of year. Light enough for the day, useful when the sun drops, and easy to layer without overthinking it.

The sort of stuff you end up reaching for again and again.

Available in store and online.

But are you Tizzy fly? 😎

Tizzy outside the shop, showing us all how it’s done. The man’s got style. Always has.

Atelier Bomber over the Core Hoodie, finished with the Sand Pinch Chino.

A proper mix of texture, shape and attitude. The kind of outfit that looks like it’s been thrown on, but somehow sits exactly right.

Sand Pinch Chino restock on the way.

Tizzy bling sold separately 💍
