In the wake of Xile's liquidation, our founder Paul Mullen recognized an opportunity for a fresh start and a new sanctuary. Thus, PARA-DAIZA was born with a new purpose: to create high-quality products with lasting value, blending inspiration from the past with innovative ideas. The brand name itself, PARA-DAIZA, holds profound meaning, rooted in ancient history with the Proto-Indo-Iranian term "p

aradaiza," signifying "around" (pari-) and "walls" (daiza). The mission of PARA-DAIZA is to craft exceptional products that stand the test of time. With a focus on sustainability, the collection will incorporate garments made in the UK whenever possible, showcasing a unique design style. Recognizing the textile industry's environmental impact, PARA-DAIZA has committed to addressing this issue through its Re-Purposed collection. This collection breathes new life into vintage second-hand goods, transforming them into exclusive, one-of-a-kind garments. By reducing and recycling, PARA-DAIZA aims to salvage unwanted goods from landfills and give them a new purpose, contributing to a sustainable cycle and promoting a conscious approach to fashion. The founder's latest venture, Daiza Projects, is working on a Multiband Retail concept – a retail hub that aims to redefine the shopping experience. The brand envisions a place where the community works to shop, connect, discover, and learn. This versatile space will include a retail offer and a café and design studio, serving as a collaborative haven for creatives and startups.

3 nights in Porto 🇵🇹

What a city.

Me and Kerry headed out for Intertex textile trade fair hosting fabric and manufacturing companies from around Porto, Braga and Barcelos.

The show was great. A few interesting things for us to think about.

But for me, the best bit of trips like this is always the stuff around it. Just wandering about and taking it all in.

A few glasses of rosé, a Francesinha that nearly ended me, a visit to Portuguese Flannel and La Paz. Some time to just look and get inspired.

That’s usually when the ideas come.

We’ve met some pretty amazing people so far this year, and we’re rolling with it. 👊🏻

Chefs, business owners, fighters, music pioneers, skaters, makers, grafters… all with their own stories, their own worlds, and their own love of clothes.

We’ve talked work, life, craft, graft, wins, losses, and everything in between. Shared stories, shared pints, and had plenty of laughs along the way.

That’s what PARA-DAIZA has always been about for me. The clothes are the way in, but the people are the reason.

Common people doing the uncommon.
