We have so many new followers these days, that for we thought we would reintroduce ourselves! 👋

We are RAGAMUFFIN EDINBURGH! A wonderfully colourful shop on Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile.

We were founded by the delightfully bonkers Gurkin (Lesley) on the Isle of Skye in 1978 and opened in Edinburgh on the Canongate in 1987. We moved to our beautiful Canongate corner in 2000 and have been here ever since.

We sell an incredible range of knits from Scotland and beyond, alongside lovely natural clothes, accessories and wool for all you knitters!

We love our local suppliers and those from further afield, some of which we have been buying from since the 80’s!

We want people to love what they buy and enjoy it for many years.

We have a happy team of staff who are always on hand to help and we appreciate everyone who supports our small business! Whether that is shopping in person, shopping via our social media or just supporting us with lovely comments… we love you all!

We have just the thing you need for this glorious but HOT weather… back again from the lovely .rubia we have the lightest cotton dresses, skirts and trousers. Ethically created in her family run workshop in India, each piece is meticulously created by the artisan team of colour masters, dyers and tailors. Nila’s team help to preserve traditional methods, use natural resources and champions community development. All things we love!
