Walker Slater has grown gently since starting in Laggan in 1989. We have harnessed our tailoring experience gained in our stores in London and Edinburgh to create ready-to-wear tweed jackets, coats and beautiful three piece suits. Since 1989, Scottish cloth has been the starting point for Walker Slater’s approach to dressing.

The Ronay brings that approach into focus: Harris Tweed in Aqua, a cropped body that complements a high waist, and a generous notched collar recalling women’s tailoring of the 1940s. Worn here with striped cotton and Shale herringbone, its historical influences find an easy place in an everyday wardrobe.

The pleasure of a well-cut tweed jacket lies partly in discovering its life beyond the matching suit.

Here, the new Ronay Harris Tweed Jacket in Aqua is brought into softer conversation with the Willow Skirt in Shale herringbone. The beauty of this Shetland tweed lies in the conversation between its colours.

Chestnut gives the Edward Jacket and Ted Trousers warmth and substance; the fine blue windowpane cools the warmth of the Shetland tweed and draws the eye into its texture. A softer approach to summer tailoring.

This season, the Abbey Jacket is presented in Flat Linen, Fawn, layered with the softly draped Julia Shirt in To***co. Alongside it, the much loved Hardie Jacket is cut in Navy Hopsack linen, fully unlined and cut with a natural, unpadded shoulder for a softer expression of classic tailoring. It is worn with the new Lachlan Linen Shirt in Fawn Stripe.

Open collars lend both looks a more relaxed character, allowing the tailoring to feel composed without becoming overly formal.
