A softer approach to summer tailoring.

This season, the Abbey Jacket is presented in Flat Linen, Fawn, layered with the softly draped Julia Shirt in To***co. Alongside it, the much loved Hardie Jacket is cut in Navy Hopsack linen, fully unlined and cut with a natural, unpadded shoulder for a softer expression of classic tailoring. It is worn with the new Lachlan Linen Shirt in Fawn Stripe.

Open collars lend both looks a more relaxed character, allowing the tailoring to feel composed without becoming overly formal.

This season, the classic Abbey Jacket is reinterpreted in Pebble Linen Twill.

The natural variations of the linen fibre lend the cloth a richly textured surface, while the long body and simple fastening retain the jacket’s clean, considered silhouette. Partially lined for lightness and ease of movement, it brings a more relaxed character to summer tailoring. Worn here with the matching waistcoat and trousers.

The Emma Harris Tweed Jacket and Cara Trouser in Stone Herringbone bring a sharper, more sculptural mood to The Harbour Edit. Clean in palette but rich in texture, the look is styled with the Mellissa Cashmere Wool T-Shirt in Midnight and a navy wool beret, a single dark note against the stone.

The Emma Jacket is designed to shift character with the wearer: buttoned fully for a defined line, or fastened through the centre with the collar opened for a softer, more assured silhouette.

Harris Tweed‘s collegiate roots run deeper than many realise. While it’s often associated with country tailoring today, it was equally at home on Ivy League campuses throughout the 1950s and ‘60s. Timeless rather than traditional, it provides a foundation for introducing richer colour, bold stripes, and a little more personality into classic tailoring.

Here, the Edward jacket and matching trouser in our Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Midnight Harris Tweed are layered over the Forres Shetland crew in Corn and a Torrance Oxford shirt in Cream. The Faifley tie in Navy and Red Stripe brings a collegiate note, while the Rosyth belt and Cognac Dargie loafers complete the look.
