Little Emma was among the very first to discover our new Garden Bloom tartan, long before its launch, when it still occupied almost every one of our looms. She was there to watch our weavers bring those trails of vibrant colour to life, patiently transforming them into tartan, tiptoeing from one loom to the next with the sweetest curiosity, taking in every careful and meticulous stage of the weaving process.

Her wonderful mum Marte Marie Forsberg tells us that Emma has a real talent for weaving, and that for her being able to see all of this up close feels a little like stepping into a treasure trove of secrets. A place filled with all the tools and wonders she needs to nurture that beautiful creativity, and that precious passion, as they grow alongside her.

Heirlooms in the making.

Every piece of Garden Bloom is lovingly handwoven by our team of skilled handweavers in our Edinburgh atelier, crafted in strictly limited editions of just 12.

Woven slowly on vintage analogue handlooms, each piece is a labour of patience, precision, and extraordinary craftsmanship.

From the first thread to the final finish, every piece passes through highly trained hands, carrying with it the time, care, and skill of those who made it, before finding its owner and becoming an heirloom to cherish for years to come.

"I knew exactly where I had seen the mosaic of colours in 'Garden Bloom'... it was in my mother's garden in Aberdeenshire.

Every summer, it becomes a sea of wildflowers in vivid, joyful colours, planted with a very practical and precious purpose: to support the bees and pollinators whose work is so essential to the landscape we love.

It is said that, over the course of its lifetime, a single bee produces little more than a teaspoon of honey. We have always tried to create environments that welcome and sustain them, and my mother, a self-taught beekeeper, has spent years giving thousands of bees a home in the hives scattered around our garden. In return, they forage among the many plants and flowers we grow for them."

This season, our fields are carpeted with colour: little bursts of vibrant hues that draw bees and pollinators, who have always been so close to the heart of our founder, Araminta Birse-Stewart.

In the year of our 10th anniversary, our new tartan design celebrates that same spirit of colour and life. Created as the latest addition to our handwoven collection, it is vibrant, vivid and filled with bright, joyful shades; a tartan unlike anything we have woven before. 💐

The Araminta Campbell Atelier experience is coming to London, and we invite you to immerse yourself in our story of luxury craftsmanship, woven storytelling, and commitment to preserving ‘Made in Scotland’ heritage. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

✨ Join in with a hands-on weaving experience led by one of our skilled weavers. Your section of weaving will become a part of a collective handwoven artwork that will go on to be displayed at our beautiful Atelier.
