What happens when a young person is given the chance to create something with their own hands — and suddenly starts believing in what they can do?

That is the heart of Young Creative Thread.

This autumn, we are creating more than a training programme. We are creating a space where young people aged 12–18 can learn practical skills, explore their creativity, build confidence and feel proud of what they are capable of producing.

For some, it may be their first time using a sewing machine.

For others, it may be the first time learning how to create a simple cornrow or braid.

But behind every stitch and every braid is something bigger:

A young person learning patience.
A young person discovering confidence.
A young person realising, “I can do this.”

That is why this autumn’s Young Creative Thread – Autumn Edition 2026 means so much to us.

Alongside our fashion training from 12th–14th October, we are introducing a special one-day Hair Training session on 15th October, where young people will learn the basics of simple cornrows and braiding styles.

This is about passing on skills.

It is about creating positive spaces for young people.

It is about giving them opportunities to learn from others, try something new and take pride in what they create.

And it is also about community.

Because when we invest time, knowledge and encouragement into young people, we are not only helping them create something today.

We are helping them imagine what they could create tomorrow.

Young Creative Thread is our small way of saying to the next generation: your creativity matters, your potential matters, and there is space for you to grow.
