What a nice item for anyone that collects WW2 items . It's a original alarm gas rattle. Marked ARP manufactured in 1939 by W Clements & Sons. Think could also be used at any Scottish Football Game WOW. Not perfect but for it's age not bad at all. In the shop tomorrow don't think it'll be around for long

Apologies but needless to say Im not able to open the shop today. My half a mile track is blocked with drifting snow and it's still snowing here.
Think I shall have to hibernate for a few days if not a few weeks. At least in some ways better than last year as I do (fingers crossed still have running water)
Take care you all and no doubt some of my crazy friends might be out there sledging and having a whale of a time whilst I'm sat with my pig hoodie on keeping cosy by the fire

Well Xmas day is nearly here so would like to wish everyone I know family - friends and customers a very happy one and a happy and healthy New Year.
I would also like to thank everyone these past few months for all your offers of help all your good wishes and all the kindness shown . For lifting and carrying for me when I've been unable . For all the lovely folks that have done so much. I've had lovely folks that have given me home cooked meals - home made soup - and home bakes all very yummy
( it's no wonder I'm now twice the size of Porky Pig)
Many thanks also for the superb folks that have even brought food drinks etc into the shop..
As I've said before what a superb lot of folks you all are so thank you - much appreciated
I've put the picture of my Robin friend up who usually visits every day and if I haven't fed him flies into the house to let me know. He also brings me small gifts ( not the sort I really want in the house) but such a lovely cheery chap he's always forgiven and I always look forward to seeing him each day
I'm open Tues and Weds pm for those last minute gifts or just a cheery chat
