What a fantastic day we had in Cullompton today. It was a hive of activity and we achieved so much! There was a lot of learning a lot sewing and lots of fun and laughter and of course lots of yummy food! It was such a lovely day we had to have a group photo to celebrate. Everyone smile! 😃

One of my students got asked by her granddaughter to make an item of clothing. I think she did a great job!

I'll let her tell the story...

I made an actual jacket!
My granddaughter wanted it for a cosplay character. “Nanny can you just make this?” Just? JUST? It’s a flippin' tail coat!!!!
Anyway. After a lot of cobbling together of patterns, a toile and much muttering to myself I finished it.
I’m fairly chuffed with it. It looks like the character’s outfit. It’s not as wrinkly as it looks in these photos.
I’m only able to do any of this thanks to my lovely, long suffering sewing teacher Kristina Coles who gave me lots of advice, support and calming reassurance. Thanks, Kristina!
