This album I happened across today is possibly The Ninth Circle of Vinyl Hell.
In my teens I once had an elderly relative comment "Our Steven, why can't you sing like that lovely Aled Jones?"
Probably because by that time I was 16, gravity had had an effect on certain body parts and going to a comprehensive school in Gateshead trilling away to the soundtrack of The Snowman would have been a sure fire way of getting my head flushed down the khazi at break time. Anyhoo, we'll be open until 5 today.

It was said, back in the days of cynical 1980s advertising campaigns that "S*x sells".
We decided to put this to the test. Ian recommended I stand outside the shop chewing my lip seductively at passers by. He really should have specified that he meant my lower lip. That's why those tourists fled screaming. Anyhow, I'll be here, making the store that wee bit s*xier until 5pm today. Stop by if you think you can handle the raw animalistic s*x appeal.

I'm just pottering around the shop and saw this vinyl LP of The Sound of Music soundtrack, and I feel inspired. I'm wondering if I need to use some old curtains to whip up a couple of nice work uniforms for myself and Ian; some nice chintz lederhosen perhaps, just like the Von Krapp children (or whatever they were called) wore when they were prancing hither and yon around Salzburg with Julie Andrews.

We're pleased to announce that we are a dog friendly business, so if your furry family member is a fan of Bach (yes, I went there with the dad joke), please do bring them in. We cannot guarantee however that kids won't be given a can of Red Bull and taught all the words to some very questionable Geordie songs by Steve.

After a long time closed we are going to be reopening at least a few hours per week. Thanks to everyone who called in today to welcome us back. Hopefully we will hget the windows looking a bit more inviting soon. we are open for records cassettes and cd's plus vintage Record decks, record players and Hi Fi. Ian is also doing Repairs and set ups

Introducing Steve who some of you may know from seeing him out and about in Eyemouth. Steve will be helping out occasionally in the shop. Come in and say hi if you're passing. He's friendlier than he looks and won't bite (unless you want him to, but that's between you and him and Ian can take no responsibility for any injuries incurred)!

Due to medical commitments the shop will not have regular opening times from Weds 14th February until Friday the 23rd February.

If the lights are on I’m open and in the shop. If the door is locked when the lights are on please knock for access.

Due to caring commitments I will be coming and going from the shop between now and new year.
