Our area of expertise is new tecniques in machine made knitwear. We are also suppliers of unusual yarns and other craft supplies.

We have been looking at the slightly unusual ways to use the braids from our knit braid machine which is recycling factory overstock unwanted yarn. The braid is actually a tube so you can thread strengthening materials inside to make the braids super strong. The fittings can be brought cheaply from Amazon. Large Thank you to Bo for standing still long enough for me to take the picture🤣🦮☺️ . .

This was so satisfying to do. I found the jacket in our local charity shop. It was partially shrunk and left unloved in a bargain box. Its main redeeming feature is that it is real wool from the days where you could still buy genuine wool on the high street. In the end, it wasn’t too difficult and this is one i’m going to keep🧵🪡😊✂️

Fairlight Mini-Mermaids is another of our recycle and reuse projects. Originally done to showcase the versatility of our Corkwood tubular yarns it then developed to become much more of a recycling project. The little mermaids looked so good using fabric harvested from old clothing and beads out of my broken jewellery box and other found object (of which I seem to have an unusually large stash).
