It’s been a busy June, with lots of wedding and bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride/groom outfits and not forgetting prom dresses to alter
I’m very grateful for a cooler workroom this Summer too!
(If you’re waiting for your Drop Off alteration to be completed I thank you for your patience.. I really do need another pair of hands at this time of year.. maybe I can train Suki to help out 😄)

I’m now booking in fitting appointments towards the end of July. Drop offs still available to book in from mid July

Lots of stitchery completed this week, you can almost see the sparks flying out of my sewing machine 🤣
My rails are full of pretty dresses and wedding outfits and there are all sorts of alterations awaiting their turn to be tweaked.

I am fully booked now until July .. thank you for keeping my business busy

My sewing machine has been working overtime over the last few days! 🧵🪡🧵🪡🧵

I do come up for air sometimes though.. the Grove is looking amazing at this time of year, bluebells still in flower and plenty of birdsong ( with a little background quartet of diggers from the new house building works!). Lots of squirrels to chase so Suki is happy too 🙈

I’m booking in alterations from the middle of June now, the next few weeks are looking really hectic but thank you lovely customers and followers for helping to keep my small business busy 💖

Friiiiday again and the weeks keep rolling by..

Lots of pretty colours both in and out of my customer fitting room this week.
Prom, Wedding, mother of the bride/ groom and bridesmaid dresses take centre stage at this time of year; it’s always my busiest time but I try and accommodate as many other alteration/repair requests as I can too.

Suki and I had lots of sunshiney dog walks to get some Vitamin D ( despite the chilly sea breeze) and I ended the week with a much needed yoga session to unwind my spine at ( with a fabulous sea view pic from the new elevated studio too!)

“Good evening! Suki here for an update on the latest proceedings chez Seashells. I’ve had a lot to shout about today… early morning walkies was fantastic, I nearly caught a squirrel at the park ( I did actually catch one last week, we won’t go into details though). When we got home there were work vans near my house and I was immediately banished upstairs and there were strangers in my garden! The cheek of it. I could hear them, clattering about with wheelbarrows and spades and stuff. Muvver said something about how great it’ll look when they’re finished. Pfffft. ….and she’s been busy working all day, I heard dat doorbell go several times, I like to keep a thorough check on the proceedings you see.
I was allowed outside for a perimeter inspection this afternoon: check out the size of that tree trunk!
