Do you want a load of nice fabric Really cheap?

Check out my vinted

I've got lots more listed on there than what is on here, bundle discounts are on and I'm posting almost everyday. Most of it is fabric I bought for my bag making exploits which is a closed chapter so I need to pass it along so someone can make use of it.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I picked up this absolutely gorgeous wedding dress secondhand from Facebook marketplace for £30 which honestly is a steal. Id had my eye on it for ages and I wasnt sure whether to go for it but in the end, as always, heart wins over head 😁

I think it's stunning and I'm looking forward to updating you on how the washing process what and whether I was able to get all those stains out?!

look what I found in the charity shop!
a dark raspberry pink velvet dress very reminiscent of Morticia Addams or even mother gothel from Tangled. or medieval princess depending what way you want to look at it? for the grand total of £4.25!
it's got these fabulous sleeves that go all the way to the floor and a little train.. problem is now it's spring, it doesn't feel like the right season to shoot this dress, so I'm going to keep hold of it and wait for the right opportunity to arise!

I want to make a really princessy/candyfloss/cutesy dress (think vintage My Little Pony in human form!) out of multicoloured tulle but to buy deadstock tulles is so expensive. Buying it new is out of the question, so i hit up Vinted and found this bed canopy for the princely sum of £7 + postage.

Hopefully the model won't look like she's just wearing an old bed canopy by the time I'm done but we never can tell!

Introducing my assistant, Doris!

My 1950s Singer mannequin i bought for about £10 because I was going through my Singer sewing machine phase and I was collecting everything Singer. It turns out though that this mannequin is pretty much perfect, I love it and I use it probably 90% of the time.

However, the faded green material with holes and stains wasn't doing it for me so I decided to have a go at recovering it. I had no plan aside from just take it apart and see what happened, so I'm pleased that I ended up with something that was both usable and aesthetically pleasing! It could easily have been a disaster but it wasn't anywhere near as hard as i thought. She does occasionally need some TLC but this makeover was done over 3 years ago so she's doing well!

I love her. It just feels different making things using this old girl rather than using my modern, plastic adjustable ones.

What do you think? Make do and mend for the win?

Soft, floaty and just a little bit magical.

I made this ethereal romantic pink dress from deadstock fabric — that’s rescued fabric from fashion houses that would otherwise end up in landfill. Sustainability… but make it pretty! The flowers are from my own garden and the jewellery is always secondhand, vintage and upcycled.

Honestly, I really had to hustle to get this finished in time (why do I always give myself way too much to do at the last minute?! 😅). But somehow, between late-night sewing marathons and questionable snack choices, it all came together.

The result? A woodland fairy bride straight out of a daydream.
