Hello all, we’re not sure how we even attempt to write this but it must be known.
Sadly the centre of Carly & I’s family & the completing part of our lives ‘Bronx’ passed away last Monday evening shortly after 5.30pm after not being himself for a short while. It was not expected & though not being himself we had no major cause for concern. He passed away quickly, in his family home, warm & comfortable with his Mum. I am terribly terribly sad I wasn’t there to also comfort him in his final moments & the pain is almost too much to bare.
Beach Bums really started on the Sunday market at the Folkestone harbour arm & Bronx was with us continually throughout this, many of you met him there & later became frequent visitors to our first permanent space inside the market hut to see him. We often joked if we had a pound every time somebody wanted to pet him we’d have a better business than Beach Bums 😂
Ofcourse we have owners bias but Bronx was much more than just a dog. He brought a brief moment of happiness to everyone that met him & was a completely intrinsic part of our lives & of-course Beach Bums.
After establishing ourselves in Folkestone, we shortly started to attend many festivals all over the country & Bronx was again with us every step of the way, he met many of you festival goers on our stand, slept in the van with us & came with us on almost every adventure, filling our hearts with companionship & love throughout the whole learning process.
