Today the lovely Stevie collected her beautiful lace dress, the back had a large gape on the zip fastening, the back at the zip was just too long to sit flat, so I took around three inches of zip out, unpicked the lace and beads, lowered the neck line and replaced the lace trim and beads, the result is a slight vline with no gape. Iwill post a picture on Monday from the wedding, of the finished result.

This dress was also taken up on all six layers

So, many people won't know that I was in a terrible incident just over a year ago, which resulted in a traumatic brain injury, I haven't really been working much as it's been a slow recovery, and I'm still getting to grips with the new me. Two months ago I took on a massive job to make an 8ft towel for a world wide ad campaign for Peroni Capri, I was terrified that I maybe had lost my skills, but I not only completed the project, I produced a fine piece of work that I was incredibly pleased with, and the client was absolutely thrilled with.

My new sewing room is now open full time for all dress making, alterations and unique projects; My first bridal in almost two years is to alter my step sons brides dress, such an honour!

The summer season is upon us, weddings, Prom, balls, are all catered for here at seamstress studio, so just a reminder that although I am not sewing full time any longer I am here to help you, all alterations are welcome, even last minute jobs, designing and making is still available but only when there is a sufficient timescale to work with.
