One of the things I enjoy most about running the brand is seeing which designs resonate. I spend weeks designing, sampling and refining a collection, then the weather changes and suddenly one particular shirt, trouser or tee develops a following of its own.

This week has been one of those weeks with a few products.

A genuine thank you to everyone who has stopped by the shop, placed an order online, or supported the brand in any way. Some of you have travelled a fair distance just to visit the shop and that always makes me smile.

Seeing clothes designed here in Frome find homes across the UK and around the world never gets old.

3 unique shirts, each with their own story. Whether it’s inspired by the fashions of a music legend or crafted in the most incredible Japanese woven cotton, my shirts aren’t like other shirts, you can’t get them anywhere else. Massed produced is for the masses, JS is for the individual.

Nothing here is mass produced.

Every piece is made in small batch runs and only available through my website or in store in Frome. Once something sells through, that’s usually it.

I spend a huge amount of time sourcing fabrics from some of the best mills I can find, selecting materials based on quality, texture, weight and how they’ll wear over time — not just how they look on a rail.

The garments are then made in small UK factories that I regularly visit myself, working closely with the people actually producing the clothes.

No huge warehouses. No endless stock. No thousands of identical units.

Just well made clothing, produced properly, in limited numbers, for people who want something that feels a little more personal.
