Fellow Frome Town traders and residents I offered to help distribute these leaflets regarding next week’s ’Town Centre Meeting’. If you want to have some control/power/input over decisions being made on your behalf regarding the future plans/shaping of our town it’s very important that you attend this meeting. There is nothing that makes our hearts more full than the joy and pleasure of being involved with the happiest of days for our customers. Just look at all of these glorious beings joining their lives together because of the loveliest of all things LOVE. We are absolutely blessed to have such an incredible customer base, behold these fabulous individualistic women who we dressed for their special days. First up our shrinking violet Mari Hughes of who barely told a soul what she was up to, hilarious when she spends so much time making the most glorious gowns for the brides who entrust their vision to her. She wore a **t waistcoat with a pair of her own superwides. She looked so resplendently herself, she’s the queen of effortless cool. Next up the fabulous who commissioned to make her own design for her day. She’d had this vision in her mind since she was really young. Could her dress suit her and her personality any more perfectly? Uber cool, playful and chic as all hell. Next up Jane my lovely sister in law who also invited us to ‘nothing special, a little gathering, might even go back to work afterwards’ kind of a wedding. 30 years together and 3 gorgeous sons, the Brighton wedding party ended up on the pier and at the Ivy for lunch. She looked amazing in a floral duster coat and a green cord wraparound skirt. We couldn’t be more proud to have been a tiny part of these wonderful women’s days. A reminder that we really can cater for all tastes and visions. Congratulations and a life of happiness and joy to all. Thanks for trusting us. It’s market weekend, we have lots more treasures in store. Come see us. Xx

I often giggle when we’re creating a window in the shop. It’s quite amusing to me that here we are in February in Frome but our windows might make you think you’re stepping into a French Bo***ir in Versailles, a speakeasy in New York or a stately home in England in the 1920’s or the 1800s, or Venice in the 1700’s for that matter. I think the makers here at P**t may dwell in England in February 2025 in body, but in our imaginations we’re navigating the palaces and parties and moorlands etc etc throughout time but always in consideration of women who know who they were/are and dared/dare to be themselves. I absolutely love that….we may seem bonkers to some but I love the escapism, playfulness and independence of spirit that our little piece of heaven offers. Today’s windows were inspired by the addition of bags. Beautiful, fanciful, heart shaped (and heartfelt) bags made from the loveliest antique haberdashery pieces. Hugest thanks to for coming on the journey today and her contribution to the fanciful windows and to for holding the fort. Come see all of our new makes and welcome in the new season with us xx

Just a few of the new makes in the shop. A blinged up lovely wool military jacket and a little silk jacket that seems to have emerged from the memory of a visit to Arundel castle a while back. We stopped off on our way back to frome from Brighton because we found ourselves battling hurricane strength winds on the exposed A27. What a fabulous place to be as the wind howled outside the battlements and gusts of wind blew down the lengthy corridors. (if you’ve not visited you really must, it’s so fabulous there). Such treasures we witnessed - mostly alone as not many were out in such conditions. We loved seeing Mary Queen of Scot’s gold rosary beads and the chinoiserie library is just divine. We made it home safely but awoke to the news that the very day we had visited someone had installed a ladder to an open window and in the dead of night revisited to steal Mary’s rosary set amongst other treasures. I swear we were completely innocent. I stole only memories of beautiful textiles and sumptuous luxury. We are open everyday until Christmas Eve. Hope you’re all beginning to wind down now for the festivities now 🎄
