Bringing a touch of Mexico with the help of Frida Khalo today. 🇲🇽🌺

The classic denim jacket is a wardrobe staple for most of us ladies.
So after a little rummage through Vinted and a couple of charity shops, I found the perfect items for a unique collaboration.

The cushion covers were only £2 for all four! Bargain!

What’s the best bargain you’ve ever found?

Zero waste tote bag!

You might wonder what I do with leftover scraps from previous upcycles? Well here’s the proof that nothing goes in the bin 😅♻️

(The downside of this, is that my garage looks like a textile landfill site 🫣👖👗👚)

No creations to show off this week as I’ve had a busy few days in London, but I did gather lots of inspiration from a visit to Portobello Market. I could have stayed there all day. I was in my element!

I also managed to get right outside the gates of Buckingham Palace just in time to see the red arrows flying overhead and the whole of the Royal Family watching from the balcony! A real bucket list moment 🙌🇬🇧

Last but not least, a trip to London isn’t complete without a west end show and MamaMia did not disappoint 🎶

I’m seeing lots of quilted jackets around lately, so I thought I’d make a sustainable version of one.

I found this preloved quilted throw in a charity shop last weekend and it was only £5.50!
So far I’ve managed to make this jacket and I’ve cut out two waistcoat patterns that I just need to finish off and I STILL have loads left!! (So maybe I’ll make a quilted bag to match) 💜💚

I’m guessing this jacket cost me around £2 to make 😅🙌

It’s now available on the website or my Etsy (both links in bio) and it’s a size 14.

I won’t be too upset if it doesn’t sell as I’d quite like it for myself 😂

Just returned from a little trip to the Yorkshire coast where I was lucky enough to see these gorgeous seals in their natural environment, playing in the waves and lying on the beach. 🌊🦭
It’s a perfect reminder as to why recycling is so important (as well as reducing the use of plastics and fast fashion)

Made from a pair of red gingham curtains I found in a charity shop last weekend, this means it’s totally one of a kind!
(Much more special than the mass produced, samey samey clothes you find on the high street don’t you think?)

I eventually got round to using some more of this beautiful Indian fabric my friend bought me from a market in Goa 🧡
This time I’ve added it to a preloved denim jacket 💙🧡
Both the jacket and bag are available on the website and can be purchased separately, but personally, I think they make quite a cute combo 🤩

How juicy does that orange colour look?! 🍊
