Kornwell Kidz are traditional handmade rag dolls with their own large range of handmade clothes and These will be bespoke rag dolls then, not off the shelf.

I adore making toys and clothes so I have decided to combine the two. Rag dolls are available in many forms but I noticed that the clothes were not removable on many of them, so I chose to sew a 23 inch doll that can be dressed. My thoughts are that the buyer can choose what dress, shoes, tops and accessories they want. As the material is used up, new fabric designs will be added so t

hat a wardrobe of clothes can be bought over time. There will be boys as well as the girls to choose from and the hair shape, colour, style will be able to be ordered from a list. I can embroider names on the dresses - or even the body - to personalise the dolls even more. I could also make the clothes out of sentimental clothing, along the lines of the “memory bear”. As a bespoke rag doll there may be a bit of a wait, but often the best things are worth waiting for and I hope that will be the case with these dolls. All along I have been saying “dolls” and “rag dolls” but they are not toys - they are defined as a collectable. But they are definitely to be handled and cuddled and loved and dressed ...

I don’t often ask this… but I’m going to today.

Tomorrow I’m launching something new that I’ve been quietly working on alongside my usual makes. It’s a bit different, a bit tongue-in-cheek, and very me.

If you’ve ever built something from scratch, you’ll know that the hardest part isn’t making it… it’s getting it seen.

So if you felt like popping over to my Instagram and giving it a follow—or even sharing something that makes you smile—I’d be genuinely grateful. It really does make a difference to small makers like me.

No pressure at all. Just thought I’d put it out there.

Well… this escalated.

**“Yarn Mountain incoming! 🧶
This lovely lot arrived today and honestly… I’m not sure whether to put it neatly on the shelf or just dive in head-first like a happy rag-doll-making goat!

Cardigans are my biggest Etsy sellers, so keeping stocked up is a must — but I never quite get over that little flutter when I open a big parcel and all the colours spill out. Pastels, bramble shades, bright pops… it’s like the wool fairy’s been shopping for me.

Time to sort, stack, and admire it all properly — before today’s Yarn Mountain becomes tomorrow’s tiny cardigans.”**
