Sheila Roussel in my Thursday evening class has just finished making a lovely top made from cotton lawn.
A lot of details from bow ties, puffy sleeves and gathered waist flounce.
It has turned out so well. Such a good job Sheila.

Natalie Mitchell in my Tuesday evening made an amazing Coatigan from boucle fabric. She spent many hours sewing on patterned bias binding to all the seams giving a lovely finish. It was worth all the effort as it looks so good.

Exciting news!!
The fabric mill has been rebranded and is now going to have monthly fabric warehouse sales.

As part of our rebrand to Wemyss Fabric Mill, we’re introducing a new way of operating. Going forward, we will now be hosting monthly fabric warehouse sales, held directly at the Wemyss warehouse in Dundee.

These warehouse sale days offer a fantastic opportunity to enjoy major savings on end-of-line stock and ex-display pieces from Wemyss Fabrics. Prices start from just £5 per metre, with special offers available on selected fabrics.

Our first sale day will be taking place on Friday 23rd January 2026.🏷️

Fiona in my Tuesday evening sewing class is doing a fundraiser for the SSPCA.
She has made Christmas bottle bags made from John Lewis fabrics with contrast lining.
The bottle bags are £10.00 each.
If any one would like to support her fundraiser,please message me and I will let Fiona know.
They are beautiful made and can be reused.

Lovely chambray dress made by Sheila in my Thursday evening class. This is the first project Sheila has made with me and as you can see she did a great job.

Lovely tunic made by Katharine in my Tuesday evening class.
Katherine’s aunt had cut the tunic out but had never got round to make it. Many years later Katharine aquired it and made it for herself.
She then surprised her aunt wearing it.

Great example of using something that most people would probably just throw away.
