I made one of these for myself and thought it would be a shame not to share the absolute game changer that are hood/scarves!!
Only three available at £35 each. Pure wool made with off-cuts from creative industries, completely reversible.

I made the hood on the large side as I'm sick of not being able to fit headphones/my pony tail under my scarves. Also, who doesn't love a DRAMATIC hood✨🙌

What I'll be doing when I hear the theatres are up and running again 🎉

Swipe through to see the original design by and the pattern process I used on these bad boys! I love draping patterns (which is what it's called when you make a pattern directly on a dress form rather than flat pattern making) and for this one I needed to create the low slope at the back without compromising the support of the bodice.
It was a joy to make these alongside and the talented students on the costume construction course at for the incredible dancers on the course.

Now that I've been taken off furlough, I felt it was high time to roll up my sleeves and get Ahoy Tailor back up and running after a long break! I'll be busy making some small items this weekend ready for sale next week so keep your eyes peeled 👀🍊

P.S. you may have noticed my 'studio' is actually the alcove of our kitchen, which is also my workout space and our cat's dining room...
